Tasha Ordered this today, $10 aint too bad. I've read reviews from pretty much all over the place on this device.
From what I understand I could use capture options on windows movie maker, or use Video Studio's capture options. Could get super lucky and not have to actually install any software that is included.... lol- that would be a dream.
I'll post some video links to the quality once it IS all up and running.

Re: Scored a new capture device
Well my mom has Direct TV, so when she moved, they wanted her to return the old box for a new one. Which of course meant either voiding the warranty, and try to rip the data off of it, or just capture it. Since it was cheaper to just capture it, and she doesn't put much importance on high quality, that was the best option. As for what she wanted captured..... the last 5 episodes of As the World Turns. Moms and their soaps
I did try Smash Bros for GameCube with it on my computer, the frame rate wasn't too bad, but still not the best way to play.
I've also used it to watch TV on my computer so I could window it along with the stuff I was doing otherwise. Saves a lot of head turning

lol, head turning....
so, does it have any lag at all when trying to play games on it? The Capture device we're upgrading from had about a half second button press lag, so it was just about impossible to play games on it.

I really haven't tested it but I did notice while recording, if I didn't pause it during the commercials the audio would get out of sync after awhile, thats one of the draw backs I saw with it

hmm, that's a little odd. What capture software do you use with this? I haven't read any issues with the one that I got. Could be an issue with what you were capturing.
Re: Scored a new capture device
its the software that came with so I'm sure I could find better but I haven't had a reason to use it lately
